The Resume Bar Services, LLC offers professional resume and cover letter writing services, LinkedIn optimization, application submission, and interview preparation services, emphasizing understanding every client's career background and journey.

Our experienced Resume writer will deliver personalized updates, revisions, and industry advice, strategically building an improving individual’s professional image. Whether a client is actively on the job market or passively open to a new opportunity, The Resume Bar Services provides insight to help clients avoid hiring pitfalls and increase their chances for the next step in their career. We are looking for an experienced resume writer who takes detailed and critical approaches to be accomplishment-driven in writing resumes for clients.     


Responsibilities of the Resume Writer: 

  • Listen to client career goals and professional situations to write/edit professional resumes and cover letters based on experience as a recruiter, hiring manager, or industry knowledge.

  • Identify and highlight clients' transferable skills to support in creating career connections via the resume for career transitions to new industries.

  • Assess strategic solutions, and provide advice through personalized phone consultations

  • Provide a professional level in resume reformatting, grammatical corrections, and targeted content, ensuring accuracy and strategic phrasing of responsibilities and accomplishments

  • Facilitate mock interviews via phone or video conferencing, critique clients’ answers to common interview questions, and provide advice from industry knowledge/experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of resume writing for various industries aside from the candidates' own resumes.

  • Minimum 3 years performing interviews and qualifying resumes for a defined industry.

  • Proficient with MS Word, Linkedin.com, and other professional profiles

  • Consultative communication skills: active listener with a focus on customer service and the ability to anticipate clients’ needs

  • Detail-oriented with spelling/grammatical errors and proficient with content writing

  • Some form of college or university educational background/experience

Preferred Additional Qualifications:

  • Credentials related to HR/Recruiting, Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches, etc.

  • Experience recruiting for various defined industries (Sales, Healthcare, Engineering, IT, Entertainment, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited university in human resources, English, or creative writing.

Additional information for candidates:

A writing sample in the form of the development of a resume will be required based on a given fictional resume for editing. You will also be requested to provide a resume sample of your best work aside from your own personal resume.


 Subject to a background check before an official offer is made to the selected candidate.
